Dr. Bettina Gruninger DrMedVet, MANZCVS (Medicine of Cats), MRCVS Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Growing up as a daughter of a biologist and a doctor in Germany, I always wanted to become an animal doctor. Following my graduation as a vet from the University of Berlin, I started a career in Ireland in the early nineties. I moved back to Germany to do a doctorate in Veterinary Pathology but missed dealing with animals and Anglo Saxons! I moved back to the UK, spending some time in Scotland and in Buckinghamshire, where I worked for the past 16 years. My passion is feline medicine and I qualified as a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists for Medicine of Cats in 2002 and I am a Member of the ISFM Academy of Feline Practitioners. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and I am very much in my element when tackling complex feline medicine cases.

Always having loved the Cotswolds, my husband Richard and I took a brave decision to buy a crumbling village cottage, renovating it (work in progress!) and moving into this outstandingly beautiful area last year. We love living here! Outside work I enjoy running, walking, training our Border Terrier Felicity (also work in progress!) and gardening, with Chocolate, our elderly cat, overseeing the work and bossing us all around.  I’m very excited about my new role as Senior Vet at Corinium and look forward to meeting you all!
