When your pet needs surgery, it can be a frightening and stressful time for you both. Even if the procedure your pet requires is routine, such as a spay or neuter, you may still feel uneasy about how your companion will fare. The staff at Corinium want to set your mind at ease. We take every precaution necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of our patients at all times. From the moment you drop your pet off until you arrive to bring them home, your companion will be in caring, capable hands with our surgical team!
Corinium Vets offers an extensive range of surgical procedures, all performed within our operating theatre using modern equipment and the most up to date surgical techniques. We regularly perform routine elective surgeries, such as spaying, neutering and dental surgery, as well as a number of more complicated procedures, as needed. Our vets and veterinary support staff always adhere to the highest standards of care.
Surgical patients receive thorough examinations and, in some cases, testing prior to surgery to ensure that they are healthy enough to be placed under anaesthesia. Pain management plans are customised to the unique needs of each patient, and administered under the watchful eye of our highly experienced veterinary nurses. Our monitoring devices include blood pressure measurement and pulse oximetry. We want to make sure that each surgical patient within our care remains as safe and comfortable at all times – before, during and following surgery.
Once surgery is complete, a member of our staff will call you to advise you on how everything went and arrange for you to come pick up your pet. When you arrive, we’ll take all the time necessary to go over our aftercare instructions, including an appropriate pain management plan, to help your pet recover as quickly and comfortably as possible.
Whatever your animal companion’s surgical needs, Corinium can help! All of our contact information can be found here, if you need us.
